Chiropractic Care

We provide advanced spinal correction utilizing "state of the art" chiropractic techniques. Never in the history of chiropractic have we been able to provide the level of help and expertise that now exists. These newer correction methods are even safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. As a Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. of Chiroprac Brian Petrie has years of training and experience in spinal adjustment.

While there are many ways to adjust the body and perform chiropractic care, each treatment is tailored to the patient's age, size and unique problem. All patients are evaluated prior to being treated to determine if they would benefit from our treatment, that the treatment will be safe for them and that they always understand their treatment options.

While the chiropractic care is very effective, additional therapies may be used to accelerate the healing process.

The Graston Technique

Offers a unique treatment technique to assist patients suffering with pain, resticted range of motion, tendonitis, sprain/strain injuries and other acute and chronic symptoms due to soft tissue adhesions and scar tissue.

The technique utilizes six unique and highly specialized hand-held stainless steel tools which conforms to the various parts of the body. These tools are used to detect and treat areas of muscle and fascial adhesions and scar tissue that maybe missed or unable to be treated by the human hand. This teatment is believed to help break down and release scar tissue and adhesions which in turn reduces pain, restriction and improves mobility and function.

Sport related injuries is an area where the technique is especially beneficial. Many of these injuries such as tennis elbow, golfer's elbow, achillies tendonitis, turf toe and pulled hamstrings muscles are often accompanying complications such as adhesions, tight muscles and soft tissue restrictions. This can occur even after the injury has healed.

The treatment may also increase athletic performance. By releasing soft tissue restriction an athlete may notice improved functional range of motion, increased flexibility and improved stride length while running. This would explain why the Graston Technique is used in more than 125 professional and amateur sports orginization.

Cold Laser Therapy

An effective treatment for repetitive stress injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome is the application of cold laser therapy to the affected areas.  Use of the ML830TM laser produces an increase in the cellular metabolism rate, reducing inflammation, pain and resulting in an overall reduction in the time it takes to heal the injury.  The procedure takes minutes, and is completely non-invasive and non-toxic.

Corrective Exercise

We teach our patients special "blueprint" exercises to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction. In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health.
